Flipbook Machine was invented by artist J. C. Fontanive in 2004 while undertaking a Masters Program in Animation.

Place the Flipbook Machine on a wall easily by hanging on a single screw from the eyelet on the the back, or a flat surface like a side table or bookshelf.

For a secure and flush mount, follow these simple steps:

• Choose the Right Screw: Use a regular-sized drywall screw or a similar one with a larger head.

• Drill into Wall: Insert the screw into the wall so that the head protrudes about 3/16 in - 1/4 in. This might feel snug, but it ensures a tight fit, keeping the work flush against the wall.

• Avoid Gaps: This method prevents any hanging gaps, providing a seamless appearance.

• Mind the Length: Ensure the screw doesn't extend more than 1/2 inch from the wall to prevent contact with and potential damage to the papers inside the back of the work.

To operate your device, just press the on/off switch located on the back. You'll find charging lights on the back as well, indicating the remaining battery charge. It's a straightforward process to keep you informed about your device's power status.

Enjoy your device for about 3 days on a single charge. Recharging is made easy with the included micro USB cord. Simply connect it to your laptop, portable power bank, or wall plug for a convenient power boost. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours. 

For an eco-friendly option, you can also harness the power of sunlight. Use a solar USB charger to replenish the battery and keep your device powered up in an environmentally conscious way. 

Note: Solar USB charger is not included but you can source them easily online.

Using the portable power bank with your wall-mounted device is a hassle-free way to recharge the battery. 

If you prefer not to take your device off the wall, simply follow these easy steps:

• Plug In: Connect the portable power bank to your device.
• Place on Top: Set the power bank on top of your device while it's still on the wall.

This way, you can keep your device securely mounted while ensuring it stays powered without any need for removal.

In the unfortunate event of paper damage resulting from a drop, the piece can be returned for a complete paper set replacement. A flat fee applies for the replacement, and the entire set must be replaced rather than individual papers. For more details, reach out to info@flipbookmachine.

Paper Handling Concerns:

Bending Due to Humidity:

• The papers may experience slight bending in response to changing humidity conditions. This is a normal occurrence and doesn't compromise the functionality of the piece.

Avoiding Touch:

• To prevent fingerprints and damage, refrain from touching the papers or placing fingers near them. Keep fingers away from the front of the machine to avoid pinching hazards and potential harm to the papers.

The paper flipping generates a subtle sound that is not intrusive in typical room conditions.
